Parents’ hurt and anger are too often manipulated and wielded against those struggling with addiction, rather than used to dismantle the system of stigma and punishment that let our children down. When you lose a child, finding ways to ensure they are remembered, and that the same tragedy doesn’t befall other parents becomes a priority.
